Adults £3.50, Concessions £2.50 and Children (5 - 15 yrs) £1.00.
EH Members, Children (under 5s) and wheelchair users are FREE.

2nd July 1667

The picture above portrays soldiers (marines) (whose alternative title was the Lord High Admiral's Regiment) successfully defending the Fort against a numerically superior Dutch invasion force at Languard Point on 2nd July 1667.

Yellow was the "Royal" colour of the Stuarts and the Colonel was James, the Lord High Admiral, brother to Charles II, and who later became King James II.

Royal Marines today have a small yellow line in their stable belt to remind them of their origin.

Colonel Pickering's Regiment!

Colonel Pickering's Regiment (members of the Sealed Knot) celebrate "Darell's Day" with us! See (and hear) muskets, pikes, cannons, a rampart gun and camp life, plus a "Mummer's Play", all set in the 17th Century! An officer of the Duke of York & Albany's Maritime Regiment of 1667 will also be there!
